Journal #4: How about adding an audioblog to your journals? In the November 2006 issue (Vol 34, no 3), read the article "From Toy to Tool" by Liz Kolb. To access: go to ISTE, log on, then go to publications, then L&L. In the right column, click on past issues. You will then see all of the past issues. Select November and find the name of the article. As long as you are signed in, you should have no problem downloading the article. Please let me know if anyone attempts to create an audioblog!

my favorite type of music would have to be country. I like all types but listen to country the most. The last CD that I purchased was Carrie Underwood, Some Hearts.
Currently I am in to country music. My favorite artist is Rodney Atkins (he sings “Watching You (my little buckaroo)” and “Going through Hell”. I am sorry if you see me in my car while these songs are on, because you will for sure think that I am super lame. I can’t remember that last CD I purchased (many years ago) and I don’t download any music. I know I am lame and a super dork!
I like all kinds of music but my favorite is country. I love all those sad songs about love, so anyone who sings those are good artists to me.
Current artists on heavy rotation in my nano: The Black Keys, Boards of Canada, Eels, Nouvelle Vague, and Silversun Pickups. I listen to just about anything and everything… haven’t got this into my nano yet but really love the guitar stylings of Rodrigo y Gabriel.
I honestly am very eclectic music appreciator. I range from heavy metal to electronic to classical to classical country to world beat to folk to rockabilly to reggae some pop. I like music. The last album I downloaded was a TV On The Radio album.
I like things that are out of the norm or unique, like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rammstein, Interpol, Blue Man Group, etc. I'm not a big downloader, but I think the last cd's I got were the soundtracks for the Illusionist and Prestige, both of which I loved.
I am open to a lotof music but the last CD I downloaded was TV on the raido, but My friend just gave the the Ashley Tisdale CD and i must admit, I enjoy that too. But my absolute favorite band is Radiohead.
I have to admit that my favorite music is probably emo although I do like a wide variety. I purchased the Fall Out Boy new cd last week and it's pretty good. The only music that I can't stand is definitely country! My parents loved it and it was the only music I listened to growing up and I think that is why I am really not a fan of it now =/
I like differnt types of music but my favorites are pop, contemporay christian and some country. My Ipod has many different types. I like a little variety. The last song I purchased was Jeremy Camp. (Christian artist :) ). I am a singer so music is very important to me and it's one of my favorite parts of my life.
I like all types of music. but my favorite of all has to be latin hip hop. I listen to it everyday and i try to make my own choreography, but to be honest i am not good at dancing that kind of music. the last CD that i bought was the best of 2006 grammy nominees artists.

I actually just purchased some cd's this weekend; the new bloc party, silversun pickups (will be at coachella this year) and a couple others. And i mentioned coachella, what do you think about rage against the machine getting back together for the show...its going to be insane. I can go on for days with this one. Good way to start this rainy day!

I like all types of music and make judgements about songs/groups I like on an individual track basis. I probably listen to reggae and hip-hop the most but I also listen to a good amount of classic rock and some other stuff I'm not too proud of (but who doesn't?). I have always loved country music and hip hop music. I didn't start listening to hip hop until Jr. High but I love it and have done hip hop dance for about 8 years. My current favorite hip hop artist is Akon and for country it is Rodney Atkins. Besides doing hip hop dance, I also love going Country Line dancing almost every weekend for the past 2 1/2 years! The last CD I bought was 'The Dutchess' by Fergie. It's a really good CD...I listen to it alomst every day!
Right now my favorite artist is Justin Timberlake, normally I like all music but right now he is my favorite I love his new cd. I purchased "what goes around...comes around" on itunes because it is one of my favorite songs of his.

I have always loved punk music from NOFX to Guttermouth to Reagan Youth, but enjoy listening to music from regae to classical and putting in some power stances for old school Metallica. The soundtrack changes as my life changes. The last album I downloaded was the new Chili Peppers album, another one of my all time favorite bands.
I like any type of music, as long as it's good! The last CD that I bought was the latest by Jurassic 5, I highly recommend it. The first track has a dub from an album that came out quite a long time ago called "(who's afraid of) The Art of Noise?" by the Art of Noise. If that means nothing to you, don't worry about it, I was just really blown away by it. If your not familair with Jurassic 5 though, that is a new homework assignment for everyone: CHECK OUT J5!!!
I must admit my favorite band is New Found Glory; this has been my favorite band since high school. I listen to all types of music but my band of the week is Kisschasy. If you look through my ipod you would probably think I am a nerd because there are many different types of music that I have. It just depends on the mood that I am in. the latest CD is bought was the New Found Glory, Coming Home.

I don't really have a favorite kind of music but i do know what i like and don't like. Some of my favorite artists are Pink Floyd, J.J. Cale, Beck, Velvet Underground and The Flaming Lips. The last album i bought was Becks, The Information. I downloaded it from the Internet, legally of course.
I am the youngest of nine kids, so I grew up listening to several different types of music and continue to like a variety of music types. If I had to choose, I would say that I listen to Country music (now that I am older), more than any other type of music. One of my favorite musical artists is Reba McIntire. I also really like Garth Brookes. The last CD I bought was a Cheryl Crow CD. I don't remember the title of the CD, but it was an older one that had the song "The Picture," with Cheryl Crow and Kid Rock. I really like that song.
My favorite album as of now is the Aviator soundtrack. I enjoy the mix of music from different times to convey a similar feeling from that era of Howard Hughes' life.

I just bought the Corrine Bailey Rae cd. She has an amazing soulful voice and great songs. I love listening to this cd when I cook meals at night and enjoying a tastey glass of wine!
My favorite type of music is "Oldies/Motown" I listen to 101.1 from LA most of the time. The last single that I downloaded was "HEART'S: HOW DO I GET YOU ALONE"... bringing back the 80's baby.

I pretty much like all Latin music. Rock en Espanol (Spanish rock) is what I like to listen and dance most to. I don't remember the last CD I bought, and I don't download music, but the last one I received as a gift is a Jaguares CD. My husband gave it to me for Valentine's with a song being dedicated.

I like most any kind of music. My daughter likes show music and rock. My son likes Rap, and my boyfriend listens to world music and classical. I like some of all of them. I'm an old fashion guy who still loves rock from the 70's. I listen to it on my iPod while working out mostly. I recently bought the Dixie Chicks album even though I'm not a country fan. My daughter likes them and they're pretty good to listen to. I liked their unapologetic stand on the Iraq war also.

Whenever my friends and I want to go out, they are the ones who choose where to go because some like hip hop where others like latin music, I really dont care where we go because I'm ok with all of them. The only music I dont.... I havent danced or its not that appealing to me is country.
