Do Google Docs see Patients?

I am going to try to write this week's entry on Google Docs and then post it on our class blog. I thought everyone might appreciate my awkward attempts at integrating new technology (even perhaps before I'm ready :-)
Today, I am going to introduce you to the concept of Google Docs and also how to use the track changes feature on Word. If this works, I would like you to find a partner to share your draft narrative of TPE 1. Exchange gmail addresses and then you will do two things. First, send an email with your draft attached as a Word document. Then, you will copy and paste your narrative into a Goggle Docs file. After it is copied, you will add your partner as a collaborator. If done correctly, your partner will receive an email with the link to go and edit your narrative. . .She or he will then edit your document, and then go to the Insert tab and add a comment (which will show their name and date). I will show eveyone in class how to do this as well as how to use the track changes feature. . .it would be a GREAT idea for y'all to come to class.

For Wed, please bring a .jpeg of yourself or your family for a Photoshop project

This week's Question: What would your ultimate vacation look like? Snow or surf, city or country, home or abroad. . .

My ultimate vacation would take place anywhere there is sand, surf and sun. Out of the many places I've traveled, I still dream about being in Kuaui, and cannot wait to explore the continent of South America.

My perfect vacation would be wine tasting in France. traveling the vineyards of the French countryside, staying in a villa nearby, lots of wine, food and hiking. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world to me.

Gosh...rub in the ideal vacation and make this week before spring break feel even longer! Anyway, my dream vacation would be with all my close friends and family (since I don't get to see everybody together with everyones schedules and living in different places) and we would all go somewhere besides home. On a cruise would be great! ahhh....that would be so nice!!!

After traveling, I think living in Cali is a GREAT thing =). However, I'd love to go to Canada again, with all that amazing green landscape all around! I'd also like to go visit some islands and get that "isolation" feeling. But I really want to go to Ireland... I hear you don't get more green than that! Snow is a great thing too... so long as I don't have to drive in it!

This one is easy. I pretty much went on my ultimate vacation last year when I went to Cabo for spring break. Nothing but partying and skimming big waves for an entire week. Perfect. Traveling is one of my favorite things. I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to travel around the world and meet new people for free all because I skim. Not going to lie, it's a pretty nice hobby.

My ultimate vacation is anywhere on a white beach, clear water and a pina colada in my hand. Something very relaxing where I can hear the waves crashing and nothing else. Whatever and where ever as long as it's a beach and sunny, with not a lot of people!

My family has a cabin in Mammoth and it is my ultimate favorite place to visit, year round. I love to snowboard, hike, go fishing, swimming and lay in the sun in one of the most beautiful and peaceful places. I love it. Basically any vacation that includes my family, friends and sunshine is ultimate for me.

My ultimate vacation would be in New York City on a cold, wintery morning. I've always wanted to go to New York but if it could be as perfect as i've imagined, it would be in late december so i could stay until new years to see the ball drop ;) It would be so fun to go ice skating in central park, experience the heavily talked about philly cheesesteak sandwiches and pizza, shop til i drop and just site-see the opposite coast.

My husband and I have made a pact to one day soon buy a ticket to travel around the world. When you buy a ticket like this, you usually have to choose 5 destinations. We want to see South America, Africa (Egypt and Ivory Coast), India, Indonesia, and finally back home to spend a couple of days just to relax in our home together. I can't wait!

I am actually going on two of my ultimate vacations. At the end of summer I am going to Costa Rica for two weeks to sleep on the beach, watch my boyfriend surf ad go backpacking in the rainforest. Also at the end of the fall semester I am going to India for three weeks with my best friend and her sister. Her family is from India and she is going to show me around. I’m sooo excited.

I would love to go to Vail, Colorado for a week...I've been to plenty of beaches on vacation...Mexico, Carribbean, Italy, Florida and have lived in San Diego for the past two years so it would be nice to go play in the snow.

I have already been on my perfect vacation but hey i'll take another. This time the wife and i would start in South America drop down to Antartica and then head over to Africa. Traveling up through Africa we would skip Western Europe quickly pass through Eastern Europe and drop down into China and then Japan. Since this is another "Perfect Vacation" we would return in three years or once my wife is expecting, whichever comes first.

My ultimate vacation is a mixture of relaxation and activity. A big component is having family and friends along, and having a little something for everyone. My family and I love biking and hiking in beautiful surroundings, as well as a hot tub at the end of the day. For me, it's the people, even more than the place, that make for the ultimate vacation. That said, my dream destination would be Greece.

The last vacation I went on was a cruise through the Hawaiian islands. I spent alot of time relaxing in the sun and hanging out on the beach. Now, it sounds really fun to go somwhere busy where there is alot of action and alot to do... like a big city. I would loooove to go abroad. One of my favorite cities is London.

My ultimate vacation would be any exotic beach place, sand, surf, palm trees, sunsets in the summertime with my boyfriend. I would like to go to Hawaii someday

My ultimate vacation would be Nepal, or Tialand or in the Congo or along the Amazon where I would encounter a culture vastly different than mine. It would be much longer than a couple of weeks and would entail a lot of hiking, exploring and traveling around. I would stay with locals or camp and not stay in tourist hotels for the majority of the trip. I would like to devote some of my time to contributing to the local society and volunteering. But then right before I am ready to go home I would end it in a nice hotel that had a spa and a bar. That is an ultimate vacation.

I think that my ultimate vacation would be abroad in a place where the sun ways always shinning, the sound of the pool/ocean was in the background and I had a pina coloda in my hand. I am going to Australia this year and am very much looking forward to it! I would also love to go to Greece and Tahiti!

My ultimate vacation would be a week away with my family and friends. I don't even need to go anywhere!!! Our schedules are all so packed that nobody sees eachother anymore. This summer I am going to Hawaii for the first time, that is also a dream for me. But right now my ultimate vacation would be a break from my jobs and school and time to veg with family and friends.

It would be anywhere where I could be away from the burdens of now. Melodramatic as that sounds what I mean is that its all about just enjoying the downtime. If I can REALLY do that, then any day can be ultimate vacay day. But my favorite vacations of the past have greatly involved two key elements: road trips and spontaneity.

My dream vacation would have to be at the river(havasu). I have never enjoyed traveling I get far to home sick, but I own a house on the river and when I am there I am comfortable and relaxed. It is by far my favorite place to be, laying in the water with my family is always fun!

My ultimate vacation would take place at the beach of Cancun, Mexico. With my husband and baby, I would relax next to the sea for a little bit and then we would go shopping for souvenirs. After that, we would go to a beautiful restaurant where there was a perfect view. We'd have seafood!!!

I enjoy so many different activities that can be done in both summer and winter. In the winter time I love to go snowboarding with my family. In the summer, we spend a lot of time camping and kiaing! But, ultimately, it would probably be snowboarding in Tahoe!

This is where an old guy has a huge advantage! I told every young guy I’ve worked with, “When you’re old, you don’t remember what you did at work as much as what you did on vacation, especially with your family”. I bet my manager would have had some issues with that! But I was talking to engineers, not teachers. Now, I think when I am old I will remember most what I do after I get my teacher’s credential, but equal to it will be my summer in England with my wife and my daughter. It was the best time of my life. We saw London and York and so many amazing things. And I spent time with my family.

ultimate vacation, all expense paid, no limit. Follow Chargers, or padres on road trip. Or Snowboarding to a number of resorts in Colorado with my wife and brothers out there. I could do both of these for a long time.
